Synopsis: Drama. The story of an English family on the home front during the First World War. Lady Villiers' son Robin and the family chauffeur, Marshall, both enlist at the outbreak of war. Robin Villiers marries a French girl he meets behind the lines and they have a child, but he is later killed in action. Marshall brings Robin's widow and the child to England when Armistice is declared and they are welcomed into the Villiers family. Marshall marries Anne, the Villiers' daughter.
